About Us
The Beach Stewards program is dedicated to protecting sea turtle hatchlings that have washed back due to high onshore winds, large storm events, and the accumulation of seaweed on the beach. The program runs from September 1st through November 30th, focusing on minimizing impacts to these vulnerable creatures.

Washback Sea Turtle Surveying
From September 1st - November 30th, we conduct thorough surveys to rescue sea turtle hatchlings that have washed back onto the beach due to storms or high winds. Our efforts ensure these vulnerable creatures receive the care they need to safely return to the ocean.

Participant Requirement
- Passion for wildlife conservation
- Availability to participate in surveys and monitoring activities
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Commitment to the program’s duration (September 1st - November 30th)
- Attend 2 Trainings (This may increase depending on roles)
- 16 yrs old and below must be accompanied by an adult
- All volunteers must apply individually
